What is Through the Roof?
Through the Roof Ministries is a special needs program for individuals and families affected by disability. It exists to support families in our community and ensure each child and teen, is provided every opportunity to thrive, build friendships, and know that they are loved.
Through the Roof Ministries includes many specialized programs that are staffed with special education teachers, aides, healthcare providers, and volunteers. Volunteers have completed Live Scan background checks.
Through the Roof Programs
Safe Harbor is a special classroom for children with special needs open during both our services. All children check-in at Safe Harbor and have the option to stay in the classroom for Bible lesson and activities or take part in IncludeMeKlub to be assigned a one-on-one buddy to accompany them to the general education class appropriate for their age group. (Ages 2-12)
IncludeMeKlub is an inclusion program for children and teens, where they are assigned a one-on-one buddy to accompany them to an age appropriate general education class during the 10:45 AM Sunday service. Buddies are paired consistently with the same child or teen to help build a lasting friendship. (Ages 2-17)
Vacation Bible Camp
VBC is an unforgettable summer day camp with games, music, crafts, snacks, and Bible stories. Kids with special needs are paired with a buddy and participate in all activities. (Ages 3-12)
