Adam Miller - Lead Pastor

Tell us about your family: Jennifer and I were married back in January 1993, and since then we have accumulated 5 kids! Kodi (1995), Keana (1997), Kaleb (2002), Keira (2004), and Johnny (2007). Yes, we’re tired.

Tell your salvation story: I started following Jesus at the age of 20 (1986). After growing up in a couple of different churches and flunking out (true story), I came to understand for the 1st time what it really means to be a Christ follower. I never anticipated being a pastor, but……

When did you join the CCC staff: July of 2009

What do you enjoy about your staff role: I absolutely love preaching and teaching! But it brings a joy beyond measure when I see someone “find their place” in the local church body. When a person discovers that they have gifts and talents that God can use and then see them step into that is so exciting to watch unfold! Beyond that, I love the staff I get to work with and thinking about thinking future of CCC.

What do you like most about CCC: Having served on staff at other churches, without a doubt CCC is the most welcoming and friendliest church I’ve ever been a part of!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time: Mountain biking is probably my 1st love. It’s more than just exercise for me! It’s a way to clear my head, meditate on God’s Word and stay healthy! And it’s really nice when I have the time to get over to Santa Cruz and ride.

My Favorites... “These are a few of my favorite things”:
Food – Fettuccini Alfredo with broccoli and chicken.
Car – One that works!
Hobbies – Mt. Biking
Color – Yellow
Song – Changes about every two months or so… right now, “Sound of Silence” by Disturbed.
Bands – Boston, Simon and Garfunkel, Mumford and Sons, Jeff Beck, Kaleo, U2, Adele, Enya, All Sons and Daughters, Ben Harper, David Gray, Hillsong, Pink Floyd, Parov Stelar, John Denver…. Pretty much anything but country! ;-).

Tina Weber - Lead Administrator

Tell us about your family: I am married to my best friend Damian and between us we have 5 sons and one amazing daughter– in-law.

Tell your salvation story: Growing up in a Christian home with wonderful Christian parents gave me a good foundation for my faith in Christ. But as I became a young adult, I began to question and doubt my faith. Through many life experiences I realized God was always there, calling me back to Him. I praise Him for never giving up on me; and now I can say “I am a redeemed, beloved, child of God.”

When did you join the CCC staff: February 2012

What do you enjoy about your staff role: Helping the staff and volunteers execute the vision God has given them for their ministries.

Bill Kearney - Community Life Pastor

Tell us about your family:
My wife Natalie and I were married in 1974 and raised 4 children who have blessed us with 12 grandchildren.

Tell your salvation story: In January of 1983 our 7-year-old son was invited to a kids ministry on Wednesday nights at CCC by one of his schoolmates. In February of 1983 we were invited to a crusade at Ceres Christian Church by the parents of our 7-year-old son's friend. During that crusade my wife and I gave our hearts to Christ and were baptized in the

When did you join the CCC staff: I served in fulltime ministry as Youth Pastor from 2001 – 2011. I then left CCC to serve at a Christian Camp for a season and was blessed to be hired back as Community Life Pastor in 2014.

What do you enjoy about your staff role: The privilege to be able to work alongside so many wonderful people. I consider ministry an adventure and love to share that adventure with others. There is no greater joy than doing what you love with people you love. What do you like most about CCC? The friendly people! I consider CCC my home.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time: Spending time with family, hiking, golf, music and traveling.

My Favorites... “These are a few of my favorite things”: Mission trips, calamari, golf (anytime-any day), vacationing in Sedona, AZ, hiking in mountain wilderness areas, guitar and just spending time with family and friends.

T.J. Yeager - Preschool Director

Tell us about your family: My husband Gregg and I have two grown daughters. One has already graduated college and is engaged to be married and our other daughter is entering college in the fall of 2016.

Tell your salvation story: Growing up, we only attended church on Easter Sunday and around Christmastime. My grandmother died when I was nine, but even at that young age her faith had a lasting impact on me. During high school I started to attend church with a friend. I attended on and off all through high school and college; never really finding a place to call home. When we moved to the valley in 1997 my husband and I decided to try and find a church to raise our family in. We visited several churches in the area and Ceres Christian Church finally felt like home. Even though I came to this church as a believer, it has been through this church that I developed a personal relationship with God.

When did you join the CCC staff: I joined the staff at the preschool in 2011.

What do you enjoy about your staff role: My utmost favorite part of my job is that I get to teach children about God’s love. They are ready and willing to receive God’s love without all the questions and doubts adults can sometimes have.

What do you like most about CCC: What I love the most about CCC is the people. We have been part of a Marrieds’ Life Group for over 12 years. We have seen each other’s kids grow up; we have laughed together, mourned together, and confided in each other. These people know more about my marriage, my children, and my life than my own extended family. They are our family.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time: During my free time you will find me one of three places: my craft room, in my garden or curled up with a good book (a book- not a tablet or reader- I love the feel of a good old fashion book.)

My Favorites... “These are a few of my favorite things”: Things I love: DIY projects, Pinterest, Starbuck’s Hot Cocoa, Labrador Retrievers, navy blue, the beach, the sound of children laughing, being able to finish my husband’s sentences, hearing my daughter’s talk down the hall (when they are both home at the same time), traditions.

J.J. Beyronneau - Youth/Sports Ministry Pastor

Tell us about your family:  I am the youngest of 5 children, so yes, that means I am the spoiled child of 5. Currently, I am not married but I am currently engaged to the beautiful woman you see in the picture to the left. We have been together since January 2015. All but one of my siblings live in Southern California. My oldest sister, Brenda, lives in Ohio. We grew up in a home where a relationship with God was encouraged but not forced. We all played sports; tennis being the family sport. I rebelled against the system and played baseball.

Tell your salvation story: Growing up as a young boy in a home where a relationship with God was encouraged, I always felt like I was a Christian. But I made my faith my own my junior year in high school when my friends invited me to go to Mexico on a mission trip. It was the first mission I had ever been on. God grabbed ahold of my heart on this trip. After the trip, I read my bible and talked to God consistently. My journey has had its good and difficult moments since then, but there is no doubt in my mind of the love and grace of God and it drives me to share that love and grace with people I encounter.

When did you join the CCC staff: January 2011

What do you enjoy about your staff role: There are many things I enjoy about my role here at CCC. I love that I get to help shape the culture of CCC. Staff meetings are fun, engaging and we all get to play a vital role in making Ceres Christian Church what it is becoming. God’s work is never done here and I love getting to help make that happen. I also love the students and parents I get to work with. The parents here at CCC are the most encouraging and supportive I have worked with at any church. Because the parents are awesome, the students are even more awesome. Time and time again, people tell me that the youth in our church are the most accepting they’ve encountered in a youth group. It makes it a fun and safe place to be.

What do you like most about CCC: The thing I like about CCC is how loving of a community it is. It’s also full of people who aren’t afraid to hear truth. We are a place where anyone is welcomed, and we are becoming a place where we all are free to speak truth in love. CCC is also a great place to heal and grow. Because of our accepting culture, people come as they are. As they get involved in our community the Holy Spirit is able to work in their hearts to help them become more and more like Jesus. We understand that journey is a life long journey, and people at CCC are willing to walk that journey with each other. What do you enjoy doing in your free time? There are a lot of things I like to do with my free time. Sometimes you’ll catch me hanging with my girlfriend; other times you’ll catch me with my friends; and other times you’ll catch me enjoying a quiet evening to myself. I also enjoy being active. One thing I’ve picked up lately is Foot Golf. I was never a good golfer, but I can kick a soccer ball. Foot Golf Fridays have become a thing among some of my friends. I also enjoy watching and playing sports. If I had a TV, ESPN would probably be the channel most watched.

My Favorites... “These are a few of my favorite things”: If you asked my students they’d probably say Taco Bell. Although I like Taco Bell a lot, I prefer Chipotle. My favorite vacation I’ve ever been on was a cruise. It was amazing! My favorite day trip would be to the beach. I like Capitola and Cliff Drive in Santa Cruz. My favorite Mexican food is El Hardin in Manteca and my favorite food is Pizza. I had the privilege to go to Chicago with my sister; deep dish Chicago style pizza is my favorite. My favorite color is green and my least favorite chore growing up was scooping the dog poop. My favorite baseball team is the Angels. My favorite food as a kid was Mac-n-Cheese. My favorite dog growing up was our German Shepherd Bingo and my favorite cat growing up was my cat Slippers. When it rains, my favorite thing to do is grab a book and sit at Starbucks drinking coffee, reading and watching the rain fall. My least favorite class in school was English (used to hate to read) my favorite class was math. I could continue to talk about my favorite things but one of my favorite things to do is getting to know new people so hit me up in the church lobby and I’ll be glad to tell you more!

My parents volunteer in several different ministries and my sister is a great support and volunteer in the children’s ministry. It is an honor to serve our church family. My girls are very involved in helping in ministry. My family is very supportive.

Tell your salvation story: I have been a follower of Christ since forever. I was raised in a Christian home with very strong roots in our faith. When I was young, our family had its problems just like everyone else. But I was raised to know that no matter what life throws at you, God is always there to support you. When I was around 8, I made the grown up decision that I would forever lean on God and I knew He would always be there for me.

When did you join the CCC staff: I joined the staff in April of 2015.

What do you enjoy about your staff role: I enjoy being able to help families in their time of need. I also love seeing the joy in the children’s eyes when they understand a bible story.

What do you like most about CCC: I love the family quality that we have at CCC. We are not only a church but a family. We are here to support one another. The pastors are always here to help when you need support. Pastor Adam has the ability to preach and teach us so that I can understand. Maranatha Ung - Worship Leader

Tell us about your family: I’m the oldest of two. I have a younger sister, Tabitha. She’s a pain in the neck at times but I love her. And there wouldn’t be us without mom and dad. My dad’s name is Sobin and mom is Chhay and they’ve been married since 1989.

Tell your salvation story: I was born in Modesto, CA because that’s where my mother’s doctor was. I didn’t actually live there when I was younger. I grew up as a missionary kid in Southeast Asia in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, where my parents did missions for 11 years with the support of CCC. After we moved back to the States I chose to commit my life to Christ at the age of 15 and got baptized in a little Baptist church in West Modesto and I haven’t looked back since.

When did you join the CCC staff: I joined CCC staff as a part-time worship intern In February of 2014. I later accepted the position of Worship Leader in June of 2016.

What do you enjoy about your staff role: Besides getting to play the guitar, I enjoy having the privilege to worship the same God with a body of believers from different generations and backgrounds that come together to praise and worship Him.

What do you like most about CCC: If I had to choose one thing, it’s definitely the people within the church. I think being able to connect with a group of people and have a community that you can share and do life with is the best thing. The Navajo tacos are pretty good, too.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time: When I’m not thinking about worship, you can find me hanging out with friends and running around barefoot at the beach.

My Favorites... “These are a few of my favorite things”: One of my favorite things to do is spend time with my mom getting recipes and whipping up some traditional Cambodian food. I love food a lot and I don’t discriminate against any particular one.

Jesse Smith - Youth Pastor
(209) 537 - 8931

Tell us about your family: I have a younger sister named Madison (Maddie). She is 2 years younger than me and lives up in Rocklin, CA and is attending college at William Jessup University. My Mom and Dad are happily married and will celebrate 28 years of marriage this October. I have several family members that live in the L.A. area and an uncle, who is also a youth pastor, who lives and works in Colorado.

Tell your salvation story: I grew up in in a Christian home. I accepted Jesus as my Savior when I was 6 and then was baptized at 8. However, with both of them, I did it because I always heard, “that’s just what Christians do.” It wasn’t until I was 15 at Christ in Youth’s high school summer camp “MOVE” that I first encountered Christ on a personal level. At this camp, I rededicated my life to Christ and started a real relation with Him. Then, when I was 19, I attended a leadership retreat while I was at William Jessup University. I had another encounter with God where through a long time of prayer and talking with mentors there, I decided to fully put my trust in God by following what He wants for my life and not doing what I think is best. This led me to be baptized again.

When did you join the CCC staff: July 8, 2016
