Bio
I was born in Boulder, Colorado but I spent most of my life in the San Jose area where I had a good childhood with loving parents. I spent most of my time playing sports where I had dreams of running in the Olympics, playing in the NBA or winning Wimbledon. Although I grew up in a small church, I didn't begin my journey with God until I was 20 years old when I understood for the first time that God loved me just as I am and I didn't need to try to win His approval. I then discovered San Jose Christian College where I received a B.S. in Bible and Theology with an emphasis in Missions.

I met my beautiful wife in Santa Cruz and we married a year later in 1992. We have 5 kids right now, including Kodiak (16) Keana (14) Kaleb (9) Keira (7) and our 4 year old foster son Johnny. The reason we have 5 kids is because we did not want 6!  :-).

My journey in ministry includes youth ministry and over 2 years as missionaries in Swaziland, Southern Africa. I never expected to be a Senior Pastor but absolutely love it! God really surprised me when he brought us to Ceres Christian Church. I had never heard of Ceres, and did not have the central valley in the top 1000 places to live! But the people here have been incredibly welcoming and we are so thankful to be here.

A few of my favorite things

sports - My loves for many years have been beach volleyball and Mt. biking. Now that I'm here in Ceres I've picked up a bit of golf when I have the time.

music - My musical interests are very eclectic. You might find me listening to classic rock, John Denver, Neil Diamond, Christmas music and worship. Some of the new stuff I have on my ipod right now include The Eels, Brett Dennen, Linkin Park and the Blood Diamond sound track.

books - I didn't read a book until I was in High School when my dad turned me on to the Tarzan series. Now, besides the bible, I enjoy books on Theology, Leadership, and books that help me understand who God is better.

movies - I love a good movie! Some of my favorite movies include... Slum Dog, Rocky 1, Lord Of The Rings(all), Chariots Of Fire, Blood Diamond, The Passion Of The Christ and the Bourne Trilogy.

What if's

What if you were not in ministry?

If I was not in ministry you might see me as a high school P.E. teacher and basketball coach.

what if you could have dinner with any historical figure... who would it be and why?

Two people come to mind... Israel Putnam who fought in the revolutionary war next to George Washington (my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather and the guy who supposedly said, "Don't fire 'till you see the whites of their eyes) and King David. Both would be fascinating conversations!

My name is J.J. Beyronneau. I am 27 years old. I have served in ministry for the last 9 years. I graduated with a degree in Physics from Cal State University San Bernardino in 2006 and graduated with my Masters of Divinity from Western Seminary in 2009. My favorite part of ministry is the people, the development of them, and teams to make ministry happen. I enjoy anything active from snowboarding to biking. Anything that is sport I am game. My life verse has been John 4:34 which says, "'My food' said Jesus, 'is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work.'"

bio
I was born in Columbia, South Carolina but was raised mostly in Salinas, California. I had a great childhood with my television friends being Roy Rogers and Gene Autry. My journey with the Lord began one cool October evening in 1966 when a Pastor, J. P. Baldwin and his daughter, who happened to be my neighbor around the corner, picked me up for church. I gave my heart to Christ the next evening and answered the call to the ministry. I attended Pentecostal Bible College in Livermore, California (later Evangelical Christian College) and earned a B. A. in Theology. I also earned an Th. M. from The School of Bible Theology in San Jacinto, California. I met my late wife Pam in 1969 and we were married that July. We were married for 39 years and have two children, Christyl and Rebecca. I recently married my first love, Paula Baldwin who happens to be the same daughter of the pastor who picked me up for Church that first night so many years ago. In December of 2009 I lost my oldest daughter Christyl to cancer. She leaves behind her husband Matt and her son Jacob. I have been in the ministry for 40 years and have been at CCC for 12 of those years.

Some of my favorite things

My favorite movie of all time is It's A Wonderful Life' with the incomparable Jimmy Stewart. I also love, Tombstone with Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer, Wyatt Earp with Kevin Costner, Lonesome Dove, and old classic movies like Angels With Dirty Faces, with James Cagney and Casa Blanca with Humphrey Bogart.

Favorite sports include baseball and bull riding (And no I've never ridden a bull; don't plan to either).

I love a lot of different kinds of music including Southern Gospel, 50s, 60s rock, Classic Standards by Sinatra, Martin, etc., John Denver, and Country.

My favorite books, besides the Bible, are books that are theological in nature, western novels, particularly Louis L'amour, most books by John Grisham, and Dean Kountz novels. I have authored two Christian Western novels, Miracle at Tombstone and Death Rides a Paint Horse, both available on most all on line bookstores.

What if's

What if you were not in ministry?

If I was not in the ministry I would like to have traveled and sung with a professional Southern Gospel group or perhaps been an actor (although I may have starved to death on that last one:o).

what if you could have dinner with any historical figure... who would it be and why?

If I could have dinner with a historical figure (outside of Jesus Himself) it would be Martin Luther or Ronald Reagan.

I am so blessed to have the opportunity to work with the Children here at Ceres Christian Church. It has been amazing to see how God has worked in the lives of our family over the last four years; He has been so faithful and we have felt His hand guiding us. My husband Rob and I have 3 amazing sons: Josh (18), Jason (12), and Caleb (2 ) and have been attending CCC for 4 years. Previously I have worked in Management, Sales, and Marketing for a software company and have had the opportunity to be part of the MOPS leadership team, here at CCC.

My brother and I grew up in a Christian home in San Jose and I accepted Jesus when I was 6 years old. My mom taught elementary school for 22 years and my dad worked in banking and insurance. My parents taught Sunday School at a large church in San Jose and I grew up helping in classrooms and had the opportunity to learn from them.

I attended Valley Christian Schools from the 2nd to the 12th grades where I learned the importance of Christian teachers, built amazing relationships and grew in faith in our Lord and Savior. I will never forget attending weekly chapels and daily Bible classes. I'm excited to have the chance to use what I've learned with the CCC kids. I look forward to working with the kids, teachers, and families to help each child develop a real relationship with God, and to reach out to our community.

Kimberley Hammond - Children's Center Director

Hello, my name is Kim Hammond, or as my little friends at preschool call me, "Mrs. Kim", and I direct the preschool at Ceres Christian Children's Center.

I have been married to my best friend and husband, Chad, for 16 years. Together we have built a family that includes Seth, our 14 year-old son, and Hannah, our 11 year-old daughter, and last but not least our boxer dog Rocky.

In my spare time I enjoy reading Christian novels, scrap-booking, spending time with my family, and teaching Missionettes (ages 3 and 4) at church. I also help my husband with small group home ministries and visitors ministries at our church. Sometimes I relax while watching my favorite movie, "Ever After".

I have been involved in the full-time preschool setting for almost 20 years as a teacher in the classroom or as a director. God's word and my relationship with Him has been the foundation of my life and preschool experience. I believe in producing the most Christ-based academic environment for children from all backgrounds and cultures to learn.

My life has been amazing so far and I look forward to what God has in store for me and my family in our future.
