In the later part of July, 11 people made the journey to Dilkon, Arizona to minister to the Navajo people through Navajo Christian Foundation.  This annual trip is made to encourage, support and assist the workers of NCF in the mission to the Navajo people.

This year the group held a Vacation Bible Camp in Whitecone.  This is a small community north of Dilkon.  Since there was no access to a building, VBC was held in a baseball dugout which provided much needed shade for the volunteers and children.  The group also provided childcare and encouragement to NFC's Children's Center that helps foster kids in crisis and transitional care.

Maintenance for several projects at the NCF was carried out along with a free BBQ for the entire community of Dilkon.  Over 400 meals were served and the group led the participants in a time of worship.  The trip ended with a Navajo taco dinner provided to the staff and leadership at NCF to encourage them and thank them for their continual efforts and service in reaching and ministering to the Navajo people.

The relationship between Ceres Christian Church and the Navajo Christian Foundation is ongoing and we are privileged to partner with them to reach the Navajo people with the good news of Jesus.
